Can anyone tell me what this is?l have an idea from the little bit of info l found on the web but more info wouls make me feel a little better....All that keeps going through my mind is that most of the time they onlyfind this problem is when they do an autopsy....that makes me feel REALY GOOD.LOL l do not go to Doctor till Oct 21.

the splenic artery is the artery that goes to ur spleen.-
an aneurism is a dilatation on the caliber of the artery bigger than 1,5 times the artery is normal size.-
the risk of aneurisms is that they can break causing massive bleeding or the artery to clot, leaving ischemic the area that the artery irrigates.-
the bigger & older the aneurism is the bigger is the risk of rupture.-
what r the dimmensions of yours?
and, r they removing ur spleen or just fixing the aneurism?

Splenic artery aneurysm is a weakness in the wall and resulting ballooning of the splenic artery. This is not a very common problem but they do occur. Like any aneurysm the danger is spontaneous rupture and internal bleeding. Pregnancy can be a factor to that, likewise traumas.

It is important to know what are the indications for corrective procedure like percutaneous embolization or others.
