How does your heart, blood vessels, your body in general act if you have low blood pressure?

typically the heart will begin to beat faster, or increase the heart rate to help pump blood faster, sometimes the blood vessels will constrict or get smaller which will also increase the blood pressure.

me and the girls in my family have this. l get dizzy occasionally. my medication if l take too much can make it drop so low l think l am dying from some emotionall pain.

low blood pressure is not considered a problem unless you have symtoms like, lightheadedness, blacking out. THe heart is more relaxed when your blood pressure is low. There is no strain or stress on the heart.

In addition to what LoJac963 said, being that it is difficult for the heart to circulate the blood through your body, this can cause you to become dizzy and or light headed. Often times you can get low BP from meds, or being dehydrated, or not being very active. Hope this helps.

l have had low blood pressure practically all my life. What other people may feel is different because l live with it. You can have the same symptoms as someone with high blood pressure. Ringing in the ears, no energy, bloody nose and dizziness. The only way to make sure of what is wrong, is to see a Dr, so you can be prescribed the best medication for the ailment.
