When u say bypass, do u mean cardiac bypass?if so, u will probably be in the critical care unit right after surgery, there u will be closely moitored by a heart nurse, u will be on a ventilator the first day. But usually they wiljust keep u off the vent over night,depending on ur condition or the extent of surgery but most often that not u will be off the vent & walking the next day. l know it sounds fast but u need to move & walk so u can avoid complications andhave speedy recovery. So if all goes well, 3-4 days in critical care unit then couple more days in a regular floor.

its whole depend that how may artery is blocked.and ur age and also depend on ur re covey. initially they kept u in the CCU for 2- 3 days and then progessly the shifted u in the ward and then discharge. at-lest 6-10 days again its depend on ur condition but do not get worry. u will be alright in a few weeks but u have to taKe care of ur self completely.

You will be in hospital about a week if u have no complications.

If u r otherwise healthy & active u should be back to semi-regular life in about 6 weeks. You will still tire more than u used to, but u will be capable of doing most normal things. After 3-6 months u will feel as good as new.

Take note that if u have other health issues or have complications it may take longer.

l had major complications (not from the bypass) & by 6 months l was feeling good as new.
