l am 5'9'' and weigh 135 lb.Sometimes l feel slight discomfort in my chest and arm... especially when I am nervous.A few months ago, my arm even went numb.My dad is side of the family has a history of heart disease... in fact, he had a massive heart attack last week (he is 52).l used to exercise frequently but stopped last year due to a back injury.Also, my diet has been poor lately and consists of mostly junk food.l do not take any medication.Am l being paranoid, or should l be worried?

YEA--any1 can get 1. just improve ur habits. run, less fats, more essential 1`s. less red meat.u`ll be ok..

You're being paranoid. At 18 its very rare to have a heart attack.

But if you feel you need to know whats up. go to a doctor, they always have for you.

chest pain can definitely mean something wrong at ANY age, so l would suggest seeing a doctor.

Heart Attack is related to 'CORONARY THROMBOSIS' which is the blocking of the flow of blood by a blood clot in the artery,but looking at your symptoms l think you are getting a bit paranoid,even l sometimes feel discomfort in my chest but when l consulted the doctor he said that everything was fine. So,i will recommend you to go to the doctor just for a check up and try to eat balanced diet.

Everyone in America gets chest pain at least once in their lifetime. In younger individuals, they usually have a case of costochondritis. It is inflammation between the sternum & the rib cage. To test for this, press on an area where it has hurt by firmly applying pressure & check for tenderness.

Being how u r no longer really of Pediatric territory, u r at a slightly higher risk of a myocardial infarction (heart attack).

If u have never had ur heart evaluated, it does not hurt. Some people have zero symptoms. But, l highly doubt any problems exist at this time.

If nothing else, have ur doctor check ur cholosterol level. And TELL ur doctor about ur symptoms!!! By ur little ICON, l am guessing u r Afro American. l think l read somewhere that there is a higher incidence of heart attachs in Afro American & higher cholestrol levels. l can not remember where or if there is any research on this.you could Google it. The best thing always is to go to ur doctor & have the doctor check u out. There is also a test that is available that checks for C reactive protien. Have ur check for this as well. High levels of this is a risk factor. You have a family history of heart attack, so that increases ur risk & ur doctor should be monitoring you. Best of luck.
