my left shoulder and neck and heart hurts really bad! it is like a searing pain! however, l just found out l have IBS and usually it only starts up when l start getting stomach pains. So could this be heart burn and a pulled nerve in my neck? what do you think this is??
i went to the doctors yesterday for it, and he did not say anything about it.

try seeing a different doctor

l would get a second opinion. Go to the hospital if you have to and insist that they completely check you out. If you are really concerned about it that is the best way to go

How old r you? Do u have a family history?

Do u have?
-Diabetes
-High Cholesterol
-High Blood Pressure
-Vascular problems

As u can see, age increases risk, family history increases risk, & so does the items listed below along with other things.

GERD can cause esophageal pain that resembles chest pain.

Are u on any medicine for GERD? u should be.
Examples r PrevAcid, Nexium, & Prilosec (OTC).

IBS causes terrible pain, as l have it myself. Hopefully u have meds to control it.

If u have increased risk, an ECG would not hurt.
If u have had an echocardiogram within the past year, u really dont need further evaluation until 1 year is up.
