Systolic is running around 120-130, completely normal.
Diastolic is running from 95-140 althoughwhen140 the systolic is close to 200. Normal now is 128 / 98. Meds do not seem to change anything. Pulse rate is commonaly around 45. Colesteral is fine, non-smoker/ non- drinker, and in good shape. 47 years old and 245 lbs. but weight has not changed 5 lbs. in 20 years. Diet is also far better than normal. Waht is happening?
BTW - I am a little over 6'4 and have worn the same clothes for 25 years. No gut even. Walk upto 5 miles a day. No stressful job even.
l am seeing my Dr twice a week now. l take my BP every hour to track it accurately. l am startingto think back to a physical a year ago where thyroid was checked 3 times because of abnormal readings but final check was OK. When l eat l become a human bunsen burner. My wife can feel theheat off me after a meal, but have always been like that.

Contact you Doctor and you have not stated your height, but still without that; your weight seems high; before your start any crash diet please consult your Doc. Goodluck!

You r obese & at high-risk, & from the figures u describe (if accurate, - l stress that).. the most probable diagnosis will be (or should be) possible ''malignant hypertension''.

The medical profession -as a body-, believe that this ''malignant hypertension'' causes kidney failure (renal malfunction) but that is wrong. In fact, kidney failure is the cause of so-called ''malignant hypertension''.
That is, ur kidneys r starting to fail - probably because of ur gross weight. Malignant hypertension manifests itself by high diastolic pressures. You quote 95-140, which is much higher than it usually is, & should be brought to ur Physician is attention as quickly as possible.

Check & keep a few records to show him, -or he wo not believe you.

Please be aware that CHANGES (like yours) in systolic & diastolic readings
accurately reflect changes in true BP's, (even tho l continually bang on about actual figures themselves being meaningless). So ur changed readings r indicative of impaired renal circulation. This is what actually causes ur Diastolic to rise so high.
The systolic rise is incidental.

EDIT: The post-prandial body heat is par for the course, & predictable. Your thyroid investigations presumably a good guess by ur doctor, but -as u point out, were negative.

Look up ''malignant hypertension'' in Wikipedia, or just Google it. It will help u see whether any other of ur symptoms r consistent.
Remember however, that ur doctor will not accept the ''cause & effect'' reversal. This has not yet been published.
