The test u received is called an ABI, or ankle brachial index. This test compares the blood pressure in ur ankles to the blood pressure in ur arms & provides a ratio. Typically, the pressure is slightly greater in the ankle readings in a normal patient. There r several arteries that r tested in the ankle, namely the posterior tibial artery, & the dorsalis pedis artery. If there was a discrepancy in ur measurements, this may indicate PAD, or peripheral arterial disease, which means that there may be a blockage in the arteries that feed ur feet. An ultrasound may be ordered to visualize the arteries in ur legs, & if the condition is severe enough, a bypass may be performed. Good luck & all the best.
