l am a 49 year old grandfather of 6 and 1 on the way l also have 3 daughters and a wife l have been married to for 28 yearsl started having different health problems from 30 years old threre are to many to list ive had 3 heart attacks the last one 7 years ago l am on complete disability now l have severe corinary aterie disiese and cant have open heart surgery becouse most of the blockage is in the small arteries leading to the heart muscel the only thing l can really do is to take care of my self walk every day watch diet and take meds. 10 different ones l already have 6 stents in my heart now and l went for another heart catherazation wendsday went to the doctors office friday to get results its gotten a lot worse and will only keep getting that way he said stay doing every thing the same but that in about 5 years its going to be bad enough to be put on heart transplant list the question and problem is how do l tell my family this is no joke thank you where else do l write this

You really should consider sitting down with ur wife first & explaining to her the situation, then let her tell the rest of the family, if this is not appropriate, then maybe u can talk to one of ur daughters. Once they know & r aware of the situation they will be able to cope with it, u r carrying a heavy burden here & keeping this knowledge to yourselfwill only increase ur stress levels. l am sure ur family r strong enough to be able to deal with it & they will also know the levels of fitness u r capable of & not expect too much of you. You can always see ur G.P.and arrange councilling if u think it may help but l bet ur family will rally round. l really hope u keep well, it seems that u r doing everything u can to keep as healthy as u r able to. good luck & l hope all goes well for you.
