it just will ''jam'' like a palipitation that does not fully palipitate just jams...an instant, wakes me up in a fright, and then l fall back asleep. About 3 years ago l had all those heart tests for angina, and the best they could find was a murmer and bicuspid and tricuspid prolapse. That was in 03. l am wondering what is going on. l am in good shape, and for about a month have been riding my bike at a good clip about 20 miles a day. l am a little overweight.

If you have not been to your cardiologist in 3 years then you should definately go to see them right away, especially if you have developed this problem.
Also, you may try cutting back to 3 times a week on the bike and walking the other days. It may be that you are just overexerting yourself.

It could be that you're actually having palpitations. They can come in many forms and not always feel the same as last time. A good way to find out what may be going on is to get a holter monitor or event monitor placed that will record your heart rhythm, even while you're sleeping. It is a great took to hekp find what is going on. You may want to check with your primary care doctor or your cardiologist, if you have one.

Your heart is a muscle that continuously pumps blood in and out of it from the minute you are born until the minute you die. The important thing here is to remember is that you only have one, so do not take chance with it. If you feel something is not right, see your regular doctor who can then refer you to a cardiologist. The heart can malfunction for many, many reason's, over working it, born with a defect, disease. Be heart smart!
