7 yrs ago l woke up one day and learned l had suffered a stroke and was in Intensive Care for 7 days , l went thru 13hrs of brain surgery before the Dr. had corrected the ruptured blood vessel l had in my brain.( which l did not know about)l was told by the Doc. that there is an 80% chance I will have another anuerysm someday then spent another 3 weeks with other stroke patients, regainingstrength and waiting for the double vision to clear before l was able to actually go home from that hospital.l still had double vision for 3 more weeks at home before my seeing was back to normal again.It is been 7 yrs....and everydaythat is come and gone l think about this...will l or will l not go thru this all over again? ? ? ?

80% is not 100% & no doctor no matter how much they think they might be r gods. l was told I'd be paralyzed in excruciating pain by my 40th birthday. l am now 58 & l may hurt but l am still moving around. My uncle was given 2 years to live after he had brain surgery he lived to his 91st birthday.
There r no guarantees in life but after 7 years u should be able to relax. Eat well, get rest, live properly & Live ur life as if there is a tomorrow because u may get hit by a bus or slip in the bathtub. You may crash ur car, or get mugged. All worrying will do is make u miserable. If it happens it will & there is nothing u can do, worrying wo not help or stop it. Be happy & good luck!

That is like the rain here in NM!! The weather man says we have an 80% chance of rain, It probably won't, but when he says 20% it probably will dump buckets on us.

an 80% chance ''someday'' is like our probably it wo not happen!! It is the ''some day'' part that is the clue.

Take care to keep blood pressure under control and take the meds the doc prescribes and watch weight and food intake and you have an 80% chance of living to 110 yrs old.

It seems that you are too anxious. Anyway regular follow up can pick it up early, if at all it recurs.
