yes, my dad had high blood pressure, was an alcoholic, so the high blood pressure with the alcohol increasing it caused an aneurysm to rupture in his brain. it also affects heart rate.

Effect of alcohol on blood pressure is a ''U'' curve, it decreases first and then raises. Heart rate generally increases with intake of alcohol. Hypothermia (low temperature) usually occurs in alcoholics when they remain drunken in a cold place for long period without adequate clothing or cover. This is because alcohol dilates the vessels of the skin and causes loss of heat by radiation.

Yes, it does increases heart rate, BP , and BMR (Temp.), it increases the desire but decreases the performance. (Goodman Gillman Pharmacology).
