l am 26 years old, and l have been having weird palpitations for a couple of years now. l have even been to a cardiologist (about 1.5 years ago), and had a sonogram of my heart, as well as wearing a 24 hour holt monitor. The sonogram show that my heart was structually fine. And the holt monitor of course did not pick up anything during that 24 hours. l am so worried that there is something seriously wrong with me.
It happens so sporadically, and there is really no rhyme or reason other than when it happens it scares the crap out of me, and l always check my pulse immediately, and everytime my pulse is fine.
Any comments or suggestions? l do not know what to do. I am so worried that there may be something wrong with me and l am not getting treated. All comments are so very helpful. Thank you all! And yes, unfortunately, l have been diagnosed with anxiety and panic attacks, but the weird thing about it is l hav not had a panic attack in almost 2 years! Anxiety...sure, but l am usually just standing still, or sitting and it just goes bananas on me.

not much more you can do than go to the doctors and try not to worry

yes go have it checked agian. it could be that you are beating faster on those times and they have to catch it and its very important that they see this so if you have any before hand l would get there immediately it could be with a med you could trame it down. take care.

l am 17 and went through the same experience. l had the 24 hour monitor and everything a few years back. Just like you, they found nothing but occasionally once every few months l get a palpitation. l can only guess it is fairly normal and l have noticed l do not get it nearly as much when l drink lots of water and walk/exercise daily. It could just be your heart begging you for exercise.

You & l r in the same situation! It is weird because l too have been to the doctor about it & they did the same exact things for me, plus a blood test. Anyway, sometimes l really worry about it because it hurts, but like yours it is just sporadic. It seems like there is nothing we can do about it because the doctors did not find anything..
Maybe u could try seeing ur doctor again, maybe there r more tests they can do. Or maybe u could try a different doctor just for another opinion. l do not know what else there is to do, l am stumped on this as well.
Then again, maybe it really is nothing. l think mine may just be a result of anxiety & sort of miniature panic attacks l have, because l kind of have a problem with that. Not sure if you're similar though.

I've had palpitations for years. They started when l was in my twenties & now l am almost 50. I've had EKGs, also a stress test with an ultrasound which were normal. Palpitations r more common in women. l agree, they r kind of scary. The usual causes though r too much caffeine, lack of sleep, stress, taking stimulants, or eating red meat. Usually the palpitation is an extra beat in ur heart rhythm. Try getting extra rest, cut down on caffeine & see if that helps.

l have the same thing, or l think l do, just your heart randomly skipping beats sort of? well, when l went to the doctor he told me it was because l could feel my own heartbeat, which is not normal, everyone has it, just not everyone can feel it. he told me to eat peanut butter / bananas for the potassium, good luck!

l am 45 years old and my doctor advised me when l get the palpitations to go to my gp s surgery and ask the nurse to do an ECG. Maybe you could try this . Do not ignore the signs

l used to have palpitations. l did the holter monitor which showed l had pre-mature atrial contractions. Many things can cause these (excessive activity, stress, etc.). There is not treatment for it, however there are medicines that can help. Talk to your doctor about it.

That is usually when panic attacks strike when you're the most calm. They have a cumulative effect. l say they're like a poison or toxins to your body and when it is too much it hits you all of a sudden when you do not expect it.
