im 22yrs old, and have high blood pressure,( it runs in the fam. l had it since l was 8yr ) for the past 4 days ive been having a headache off and on through out the day,im not currently on my medicines ( l havent taken them in bout 3 months, cuz l ran out ) ive been on a diet since the past 3 days (mainlyno fast food, no pork, no beef ) so am l having headaches because of my blood pressure or cuz of my change in diet ?

your having headaches cause of your blood pressure, go to the doctor and get some medicine. Good luck!

hypertension causes headache when the blood pressure is elevated to seriously high levels.
As u r hypertensive u must check ur blood pressure first.

It sounds like it is from your blood pressure. When l was pregnant, l got a horrible headache for two days. When l went to the doctor, my bp was 160/110. She said that would definitely cause a headache. l ignored it at first. Get it checked out. You may need to be on meds.

l would recommend u go straight to the doctor & if u can not get in today, go to the hospital. That way u can find out an a accurate blood pressure. Therefore u know if it is the recent change in ur diet or the blood pressure. Even though u r young prolonged high blood pressure is something that can lead to a more serious problem besides a headache ( l am sure u r aware of this). Depending on how high it is, l imagine u need some kind of medicine to take to lower it. Either way u should see a doctor as soon as possible.
