Ok a year ago l got super sick..thought it was food poisoning but it wasn't..l was throwing up for over a week then when that went away the general feeling of is still there. It feels like I am having a heart attack. l went to the ER once because of it...and been to a doctor twice and they say its panic attacks...but this is not going away. l can not do anything physical or it takes hours and hours to get my heart rate back to normal..and at least once every other day l almost pass out. l get really hot..have a deja vu feeling then then adrenaline rush and my pulse goes through the roof. Its been like this for exactly a year now and l have no money, no parents, and I am living at my freaking grandparents house and they're driving me crazy. What do l do to get my life back and figure out what is wrong with me once and for all? Is there anyway to get a free echocardiogram? and what are the first steps to getting a diagnosis without any money. Thanks in advance?

btw I am 24 and know nothing about this stuff..except it sucks and its confusing..

How do u know it was not food poisoning after-all?

l do not know what tests u had done but if u continue to have spurts of fast heart rates, take ur heart rate.

Anything over 115 is worrisome & u should go see a doctor or ur local ER.

If u continue passing out or have more symptoms, ur best advice is to go to a medical doctor or try to find a free clinic.

When u do, explain everything & all the visits you've had to other doctors & the ER.

l do not know of a place that offers free echocardiograms, as they r expensive tests & usually take about 60 minutes to complete.

University hospitals usually will accept u with no insurance & remember, there is no debtors prison in this country. The worst they can do is send it to ur credit reporting agency but is not it worth ur health?

Wow, u sound exactly like me. l too thought l was having a heart attack. When to the ER, ran all the tests & found nothing wrong with my heart. Waited a few days & was still dealing with the issue. It was bad enough that l could not even sleep.

So went back to the ER complaining about my heart, lack of sleep, & my stomach was cramping. They ran all the tests & said l was having a panic attack.

l did not believe them & keep searching. It took me 2 more years of dealing with the symptom, however l found the problem myself by charting the symptom against everything l did, eat, location, etc. Turned out that the problems would come & go based on the time of year. Took that back to the docs & they ran allergies test. Problem found.

l was feeling fine for the allergy test, but 20 minutes after then scratched my skin with each allergen, my chest cramped up & l felt like l was having a heart attack. Docs were a bit shocked, but agreed they found the issue.

Just test for this yourself. Take a good allergy drug (zyrtec + benadryl) & then put a cold, wet wash clothe over ur mouth/nose. Breathe through it for 30 minutes & see if the problem lessens. If so, head to ur allergiest for testing.

You might try any free or Medicaid clinics in your area. If you are in England, check with the NHS.
