my heart likes to beat like a maniac when l do the smallest thing, like climbing the stairs, even when im in bed and turn over my heart likes to go mental. im 21 years of age, unfit, im 5 ft 5 and weigh 15 stone

The only way to tell is to get your blood pressure checked.

You should see a doctor and try to get fit. Getting fit will help you feel better and live longer. Just go for a brisk walk everyday. When you get in better shape, it will be easier to walk.

Normal blood pressure is 110-120/60-70. Have your doctor check your Blood pressure to see if it falls within normal range. You can also buy home kits that will let you check your blood pressure every day.

Avoid salty foods (processed meats, snacks such as potato chips or corn chips). Lose weight to get as close to your normal weight as possible. Walk at least 45 minutes every day.

The only way to know if ur pressure is high is to get it tested. You seem however to be a little overweight. This might be what contributes to ur heart beating with little exertion.

l would suggest that u make some adjustment to ur diet.

Increase the amount of fruits & vegetables u eat. Eat all kind of fruits & vegetables including raw, & green leafy vegetables.

Eat mostly vegetables, cooked & uncooked.

Exercise is also important.

It is also important that u do not eat within the last 3 hours before going to sleep.
