l just had my annual check-up, I am 48.The ultrasound technician offered to do a heart check on the house because the last u/s was not able to be read.He did not expect to find anything, but to both of our surprise he found a Bicuspid Aortic Valve.

l just saw the cardiologist yesterday and today for a stress test.

Evidently this is something that l was born with!Now, at 48 yrs old I am told l need to take antibiotics when l have my teeth cleaned.

How is it no one ever noticed that l had a heart disorder?

Becuase u havent had an Echocardiogram before im assuming and the bicuspid valve isnt causing u any problems

Hospitals make me wonder too. Being a outdoor patient for 12 years, l wonder if they withhold information from others their true health facts. In the days we r living in, we all r sick. This world loves to eat anything more than 4 legs now, not caring somethings r not meant to be ate. We breath in pollutions from big SUV & other important objects we think r ''needed.''

We go in like sheep into the hospitals & agree we r as the doctor says & then we shake hands & go, remembering down the elevator we did not get to tell what we think is wrong with ourselves & asking the doctors if this could be the reason.

Doctors r trained to lie in our faces to assure we r ''ok'' until we start showing symptoms, the blossoming of what has been there within the body long before.

Sounds like that ultrasound technician is on ur side & ur r more than his pay.

l am not sure what hospitals r up to or if they r in a budget crises too but there r many wonderful staff within hospitals, like nurses (rn, lvn, cns, etc.), & others staff who r the doctors. Usually there r good, too. They r rare like friends, though.

Now is the time for all of the world to take back our health with a proper diet, natural remedies (herbs & spices), & rest so we can heal.

l am 33 and have a bicuspid aortic valve as well. Routine physical caught it after all these years. My doctor just told me that the ADA and Heart Association just stated that you do not need to take the antibiotics anymore.
