Hmm.
Please do not rip out ur heart.
l get the same feeling, but it is a little different. whenever l think of, (for whatever reason) my boyfriend is going to leave me, or even if something sad is said between us, l get this jolt of pain through my heart, chest, down to my stomach & sometimes my crotch? It is weird, I've never had this happen to me before with any other guy.
l am not too sure what to tell you. But, listen to ur body, it is not uncommon for things going on in ur head (thoughts of sadness for example) to effect ur physical state.
If it is bad enough, l would get it checked out. But not by a doctor, maybe a spiritual healer will have the answer.

See a doctor (ideally a cardiologist - they are the specialists in this area) and just rule out any underlying heart-related medical conditions. Only after that would l then start looking into any effects you might be experiencing from axiety.

Make sure your heart is okay first, though, as that is the priority. =)

How long does the pain last? Are u doing anything else before or during the onset of the pain? Do u regularly check ur blood pressure? If u do not have the machine, most pharmacies (e.g. CVS, Sav-on,), have their own.

Does the tightness always accompany the pain?

Are u consuming any energy drinks, which have been shown to cause chest discomfort & pain in those sensitive to caffeine?

l would get a check up from a doc, tell him/her u want an ECG, better safe, than sorry. Good luck!
