l was sitting here on the internet and just got a scare , l felt my heart beat/pump 3x really fast


Omg that scared the sh!t out of me...l thought something was going to happen I am only 17 what could this mean???please someone tell im so scared...
This never happened to me...could it be from stress????

Did you ever have a heart condition before? If this sort of things happens every now and then, it could be a condition known as Wolf-Parkinson-Wright Syndrome. This can be fixed by a cardiac catherization. You will need to see a heart doctor if this becomes a regular thing.

Ok, calm down first of all. What you're most likely experiencing r skipped beats. You could be experiencing any number of things, plug in what u wrote in the URL & look it up. That will help to allay ur fears once u can read up on the different patterns of heart rhythms. l get them all the time. I've just been diagnosed with Angina (from my dad is family real bad) & a Blood clot in my lower right lung is branch, inoperable, less than 2 centimeters but could have killed me if broken loose. l was having all the symptoms of a Pulmonary Embolism, BC, EXCEPT l was not coughing up blood. Since you're so young, u did not say whether you're an athlete, what u weigh, how ur family history is. What l recommend is to tell ur parents, do not scare them but just ask them should not they call for an appt. for u to at least get an EKG which measures the Sinus heart rate. Then they can order further tests to determine anything else if need be. If u start to have ANY odd symptoms say like: Profuse sweating, Tightness of the chest, can not get ur breath or sharp pains up the back of the neck on either side to ur brain, u call 911 & tell them. Let them check u out. l know you're a minor, but these days, they have all sorts of tests to determine anything at all could be causing this. Good luck honey, stay calm. Just watch what ur body does, l think u will be ok though.

It could be a panic attack. The symptoms can mimic a heart attack. Try breathing into a brown paper bag . You must get your heart checked by a cardiologist
