| Why does my diastolic pressure raise when I stand |

l have my blood pressure taken for a study (not related) and have it taken lying down and then standing. When l stand my diastolic goes up instead of down. The numbers are still ok but they all seem puzzled by it but have not given me an explanation. Any reason this could occur?
Does anyone know?

The blood flows more when you stand. When laying down your body is at rest. No stress on the legs or feet.
