Angina is not a disease it is a symptom.

Lets see -
Heart failure, either acute or chronic. This is likely to be caused by atheroma of the arteries which cause lack of blood to the heart muscle

There r thromboses of various arteries which can cause serious illness or death.

There is swelling of the arteries, called aneurysm. Very dangerous if it is a major artery.

Spasm of the arteries in the lower leg called claudication.

Varicose veins.

Slow bleeding from an artery, most common in the brain causing a type of stroke.

Well, that is enough to worry anybody!

Sorry had to answer if only at least to say that Angina IS a cardiovascular disease. It is part of a spectrum of Ischaemic Heart Disease (IHD) The most common cause of death worldwide. It ranges from mild angina (chest pain on heavy exertion) through to unstable angina (pain at rest) to myocardial infarction (heart attack)

There is also pericarditis- infection of the pericardium- surrounding of the heart.

Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease. Also very common.

Microvascular disease such as within diabetes & hypertension can impact other organs such as the kidneys & liver.

Arrythmias r abnormal heart rhythms such as atrial fibrillation (most common) & such things as ventricular tachycardias which can be brought on by many medications & drugs.

There r also congenital defects of the heart (where the heart has not formed properly) such as atrial septal defects. These r common in children with Down is syndrome & r usually fatal or corrected just after birth.

Similar to this there r valvular defects, failing valves r common in elderly patients & those with hypertension. They r heard clinically as heart murmurs. They r vulnerable to infection (especially if the valve is replaced) which is called endocarditis.
