The circulatory system is mainly composed of the heart, ur vessel (Arteries & veins) & ur capillaries.

To view a diagram of that system, go to http://daviddarling.info/images/circulatory_system.jpg

So to care for it, u have to care for ur heart & blood vessels. A few examples will include:

1-Regular exercise: The best is 4 or more session/week, each 30 minutes or more.

2-Healthy diet, by eating less animal fat & more vegetables, fruits, fibers.etc

3-Maintain an appropriate weight. The best way to calculate this is to calculate ur body mass index (BMI). It can be calculated by dividing ur weight in Kg by the square of ur height in meters. You can use that link for calculating it http://nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmi-m.htm. The normal BM l is between 20 & 25

4-Avoid smoking & do not sit close to smokers

5-Regular check-up of ur Blood pressure with ur doctor

6-If u get any heart symptoms e.g.shortness of breath, awareness of heat beats, chest pain, consult ur doctor

7-If u r diabetic, control ur diabetes as appropriate

Try cutting yourself & see what happens. If a red liquid pours out, it is probably blood which just happens to be the major part of ur circulatory system! If it keeps pouring out & it gets beyond the 4 pints stage u will probably be feeling relaxed & a tad tired & feel like sleeping which could last for a rather long time.

If u feel that ur arteries have a small pulse-like sensation then it is probably the circulatory is sytem is pump (sometimes known as the heart) the design, of which, no engneer has ever improved on. If there is no sign of a pulse u might then be feeling a bit spiritual.

This reddish-like liquid that flows through pipes (or tubes) in the body which r known to medics as arteries & veins r able to shrink & stretch with the pressure of this amazing pump. If they fail to do this through becoming rigid caused mainly through bad dieting, then pressure builds up in those tubes which should be of some concern. Interestingly, like all good engineering, those little tough flexible tubes have built-in features to prevent the flow-back of the red liquid & to ensure it goes in the right direction otherwise; when those little features fail, they bloon-out into discoloured lumps on the body is surface.

The food we eat & the air we breathe percolates through the lungs, stomach, liver, & kidneys, (etc) which filters the good from the bad when the good (the nutrients the body requires) is carried by the blood to all parts of the body to keep it in the perpendicular & to encourage it to propagate & like the most efficient of engines it requires the best substances for maintenance.

Any more information required, consider applying to become a medic or, better still, an engineer!
