l have been diagnosed with heart palpitations.l went today for an EKG, Echo and am currently wearing a 24-hour heart monitor.l still do not know the results of the tests.My question is, has anyone had trouble with these?l have a least one every 5-10 minutes.l know that they can be normal for some people, but it seems like l am having to many.Also, what are the risks?Thanks.

l am sorry you're going through this.
l have had them before, still do, but only every once in awhile. It feels weird and scary. For myself, they are caused by anxiety.
Some people have them like you do, and it does not mean anything serious. You're doing a good thing by getting yourself tested.
l am sure they will figure out the cause and what is the best treatment (if any). Good luck.

as long as you take it easy and do whatever your doctor says t try and reduce them you should be fine.

They're normal in most people. The monitor probably is to measure when in the cardiac cycle they're occurring. Too soon after the regular contraction can be more dangerous, & ur doctor may want to prescribe some form of treatment.

PVCs, which r premature ventricular contractions or heart palpitations, r aggravated by caffeine, nicotine, lack of sleep, stress, etc. They can also be caused by electrolyte imbalance, which ur doctor will probably check for with blood tests.

Most r benign, so try not to worry. Worry causes them too.
