l have smoked for over 61 years. Nearly all of my relatives were smokers and lived well into their 80s and 90s. None ever died of a ''Smoking Related Illness''.

l am not sure, but you should feel lucky and blessed. You may want to get other doctors opinions.

You are certainly blessed, to live to be 75 with all of your family never being ill. No cancer, no heart disease, no stroke, no cardiovascular problems,no breathing problems !!! And a smoker for 61 years and you can use the computer as well.!! l hope your Dr.is writing your family up in medical journals or Ripley is believe it or not because l am really having a hard time with it. l am free tonight, how about we go out?

And l bet u do not take & never have taken the nasty statin drugs either for cholesterol!! those would have u acting like u were 110 yrs old & bedridden!!

Most of the reports of the damage smoking causes r fabrications made on the fact that one patient who smoked got that disease or malady.

Most smokers who avoid doctors offices & do not take all the junk they want us to, r much healthier than those who run to the doctor with every little sniffle.

Note: we r forced to smoke outside in all kinds of weather now that the ''smoking bans'' have been put in place on public buildings!! You would think that all smokers would succumb to pneumonia really rapidly!! No!! we show up to work healthier than those who take their breaks indoors & we rarely get a cold!!

l am 47, never smoked, and my heart and lungs are in better shape than most people is ever are, at any age. My resting heart rate is 59/minute, and my FEV is 6 liters. Both values are literally off the charts.

Guess it depends on what your priorities are.

My grandparents have been smoking over 60 years, & they r 87 & 83, & still smoke. They would probably die if u took their cigarettes away. It would be like taking ones medicine away.
My father is 64 & and has been smoking for 50 years, & was a 3 pack a day smoker at one time before cutting it down to only a pack a day. He has never had a smoking related illness.
So just because people smoke does not mean u will die at an early age.
