l have been having chest pain for about a week. It is like squeezing feeling and l also feel pressure in my chest.l am 19 years old l do not work out and l am 160 pounds and 5.10 tall.l know that l should take it serious when l have a chest pain and l called a doc, and the nearest appointment l could make was friday. Do you think l should wait? or call 911?

You got to be kidding me. Your ''doc'' is a quack, IF you did call a doc for chest pains you would automatically be told to go to the hospital or call 911. Get real dude.

You still need to see a doctor to see what it could be as 1 week is a long time. Do not call 911 unless it is unbearable and you cannot breathe.

It is pretty unlikely that it is a heart attact. Do you have any cold symptoms? Maybe that is causing it. Or maybe you pulled a muscle. If its been a week and you're not dead yet, l am sure you can wait until friday.

do you have high blood pressure?

it could be many things but if you are in doubt, call 911 do not drive to the hospital.

Not all myocardial infarctions result in immediate death. What we call heart attacks might, but that is an acute MI, u could have a milder one & the damage is pretty well done by now or it could be something else.

It could be endocarditis, do u have a fever? Have u lifted something heavy? It could be a pulled muscle. Does the pain radiate down ur arm? Do ur teeth hurt? Yes? Then its a heart attack & go to the Er right now.

Chest pain at ur age can be many things, but if its been a week, u can wait 2 days.

Rush up to hospital for checkup.

if u have had chest pain for a week then why have not u gone to the hospital or dialed 911? ok you're young but a heart attack or other cardio or respiratory conditions can afflict someone of any age

if u r still in pain then dial 911 & tell them ur symptoms they will organise help for you, most likely outcome is paramedics will attend & do a ECG (Electro Cardio Gram) which monitors ur heart activity & from the read out they can see if u r indeed having a heart attack or problem with u heart & take relavant action

Dial 911 now & get them to u it is better to be safe than sorry

in the future be more proactive & dont leave it a week until getting help

My mommy had feeling like that and numbness in her arm for a whole month before she had her heart attack. It is kinda.. the symptoms leading up to it, you know? Go to the doctors on Friday and check it out. Tell them you're serious. Serious as a heart attack. And good look. l may be on the same path with you right now.
