Mother is 45 in her blood pressure 179/72 is that normally or high blood pressure?

It is not bad shes average just have her eat Cheerios everyday for breakfast and it will help her cholesterol plus lower her blood pressure.

that is really high the 72 is normal but the 179 is really high need to keep check that is called systolic and it is the one that has to do with your heart.

Above 140 systolic and 90 diastolic is labelled as HYPERTENSION and need to be treated by means of :-
1. life style modification
2. drugs
3.removal of factor of hypertension, if any cause is found
