For a few years l have been getting pain near my heart if l move the wrong way or get up from bed quick or in the wrong way. Also, sometimes it will just occur when sitting down randomly. Should l be worried? Should l get tests done? im only 17 by the way

sometimes l feel a little sharp pain too. it is only every once in a while.. not often enough for me to be concerned with. l think you should get it checked out. it is probably nothing to be worried about, but you should do it just in case.

Sounds like its where your ribs, they start in the back connected to the back bone. Rap around to the front, they connect to the breast plate. Your 17 years old and l bet you do alot of straining, just every day stuff can streach your ribs cage.
Your growing and getting biger and biger, l am 63 and still have that problem when l work hard all day, pulling and jurking. If it will make you feel better to see the Dr,go ahead, but, remenber your growing up.Good luck..

All chest pain should be reported to your family Dr. It sounds like you are having 2 different types of chest pain. The first pain sounds like its muscular skeletal. The 2nd pain could be cardiac in origin and the only person that can sort this out is your family Dr .Good Luck

Such pain is considered a potentially serious sign of a heart problem by most doctors until proven otherwise. Costochondritis, an inflammation of any cartilage in the body, could be a cause for that sharp pain. You may also have an ECG check to see if ur heart is increasing its size. Left Ventricular Hypertrophy, (enlargement of the heart), could also cause pain near ur heart or on the chest. l would highly suggest that u immediately have tests done. An ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of cure Ü
